Director Commercial Strategy, Iza-Bren
This role will report to the Executive Director, Commercial Strategy.
As the Director Commercial Strategy, Iza-Bren, you will be responsible for development, implementation and management of commercialization strategy for iza-bren, a first-in-class EGFR-HER3 bi-specific antibody drug conjugate being developed under a collaboration agreement with BMS. This role will drive cross-functional alignment across commercial, clinical, regulatory, alliance management functions within SystImmune and is critical in ensuring SystImmune’s vision for Iza-Bren is represented throughout all strategic and operational discussions with BMS.
This is an ideal role for a hands-on commercial leader with expertise in market analysis, forecasting, competitive intelligence, and cross-functional execution in oncology.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Execution for Izalontamab-Brengitecan
- Lead the development and execution of the commercialization strategy for Iza-Bren, ensuring alignment across SystImmune and alliance partner BMS.
- Own day-to-day commercial planning, including target product profile (TPP) refinement, competitive positioning, and market readiness activities.
- Work closely with clinical development teams (internal and alliance) to incorporate commercial insights into trial design and lifecycle planning.
- Co-create and support execution of medical advisory boards and thought leader engagements (TLEs) to ensure external perspectives inform strategy.
2. Market & Competitive Insights, Forecasting, and Commercial Analytics
- Conduct market research and landscape assessments to refine patient segmentation, uptake drivers, and barriers.
- Develop a competitive intelligence framework, monitoring key ADC competitors and identifying implications for brand strategy.
- Work closely with Finance and Business Development to develop and maintain revenue forecasts, ensuring alignment across internal and Alliance teams.
- Assess pricing and market dynamics, leveraging epidemiology data, analogs, and external insights to refine commercialization plans.
- Map out and prioritize key performance indicators (KPIs) for market readiness and stakeholder engagement, ensuring SystImmune’s strategic priorities are represented.
3. Cross-Functional & Alliance Collaboration for Market Preparation
- Work closely with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Market Access, and other key functions (both internal and Alliance) to align commercialization efforts.
- Ensure SystImmune’s vision is recognized in all Alliance discussions and decision-making across commercial, clinical, and medical affairs teams.
- Support early-stage launch readiness planning, including defining key priorities for stakeholder engagement and market preparation efforts.
- Partner with Alliance teams to ensure cohesive strategic messaging, commercial positioning, and cross-functional coordination.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) in business, life sciences, or a related field.
- 7+ years of related experience in biotech/pharmaceutical and/or life sciences consulting roles, including commercial strategy, forecasting, market research, brand planning, or portfolio management.
- Proven ability to collaborate across multiple functions, including clinical development, regulatory, medical affairs, finance, and market access, to align on commercialization strategies.
- Strong ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills across a variety of organization levels and functions including senior executives.
- Ability to influence and build effective relationships both within the organization and externally with alliance partners to drive projects and tasks towards completion.
- Prior experience in ADCs is a plus but not required; experience in oncology and/or specialty pharmaceuticals preferred.
- Experience working in an alliance or partnership setting is a plus.
The hiring pay range for this position is $180,000 - $250,000 per year based on skills, education, and experience relevant to the role.
